The burnout promo-video

Are you experiencing stress that lasts for long periods of time? If you do, you may be heading towards ‘BURNOUT’

Burnout is a psychological term for a syndrome characterized by long-term exhaustion and diminished interest, especially in one’s career. Results of current surveys show that almost one in three inhabitants (around 20 million people) in the U.K. suffers from burnout.

The European Health Foundation has developed a self-help course that:

  • informs you on the symptoms of burnout
  • gives you an overview of the possible kinds of therapy both self-help and professional
  • shows you exercises and tips on how to deal with the symptoms and possible onset of burnout

This training can be followed either online or by watching the DVD.
You can indicate your preference during the ordering process.

What we offer?

  • an overview of the kinds of therapy available
  • tips for dealing with burnout
  • what you can do for yourself and others who may be experiencing burnout
  • 100 days of weekly instruction and helpful exercises by e-mail.

 Who helped develop this course?

This course was developed in close cooperation with Irene den Doop (123-psychology) and Petra Versteegh (Phoenix Burnout centre); both experts in the field of burnout and its treatment.

More burnout cases

Recent studies (CBS.nl) show that the number of people complaining of burnout has increased significantly over the past several years. Seven percent of the people involved with this study have admitted that they don’t start to “unwind” until at least the second week of holiday, and four percent say that they have never manage to let go of their tension at all. Now that the crisis has penetrated all areas life, and not only work, we can assume that stress related health problems are on the increase.

What can you do about it?

Burnout can be prevented with the right instruction and training. This is why the European Health Foundation has developed a self-help DVD that gives insight and helpful information in relation to healthful and organic ways to cope and possibly cure this problem as well as many other possibilities for therapy. You will be properly informed of the causes of burnout, and learn to deal with the symptoms using various exercises.
